American made 'Series 80' M1991A1, a single action semi-auto pistol chambered for .45 Automatic Colt Pistol, manufactured circa 1993 in Hartford, CT. It features a matte blue finish, a 5" barrel, fixed blade front sight with white dot, dovetailed Novak rear sight, raised ejection port, skeletonized textured adjustable plastic curved trigger, serrated push-button magazine release, smooth grip safety, smooth front strap, checkered mainspring housing, short single-piece guide rod, checkered recoil spring plug, two-toned hammer with serrated spur, and two-piece checkered rosewood grips with 'diamonds' around the screws. The original matte blue finish retained is approximately 98% with a few minor scratches, and slight edge wear along the slide. Metal displays rust on the bottom of the mainspring housing, and there is no observed deformation. Bore is dirty with strong rifling, and the grips are excellent. The action is smooth and crisp. This pistol would be excellent without the observed rust.
